About Me

Jon is a Danish/Australian screenwriter excelling at character-driven comedy and action adventure. He has written on shows such as Taffy for Boomerang, Monster Loving Maniacs for CBBC, 100% Wolf: Legend of the Moonstone for ABC, and Kitty Is Not A Cat for Seven Australia.

Jon’s animated series concept Karyn Splitter: Alien Sitter won the Disney Channel Prize at MIFA Pitches in Annecy. He co-created BedHead, a live-action short-form comedy series which aired on ABC in Australia for which he received an Australian Writer’s Guild nomination.

Jon is currently developing an animated comedy with Distillery Films as well as an adventure comedy series with Daily Madness. He has also developed a family feature with Tumblehead Animation.

Having recently returned to writing live-action Jon is developing a comedy series for 8+ in this space.

​

Jon decided to become a writer at the tender age of six after his parents laughed heartily for several minutes at a short story he had written. The story was not a comedy.

​

More often than not Jon channels his experience as a Dane living abroad into incredibly serious projects usually featuring roguish monsters, rebellious aliens, or some sort of out of control ice cream-shooting robot threatening to destroy the entire world because it feels like it doesn’t fit in.
